New Members

Barley Grail would like to welcome all new Member Owners that have joined the ranks in recent weeks. Each new member moves us closer to our goal of building out our brewery & tasting room. Barley Grail Update 4/13

Spring is here and so is an update on the Barley Grail Brewing Cooperative. Hope everyone is getting over the long Winter and ready for some sunshine.

April 2 Event

Our first event was a learning experience, but a success nonetheless! Even the snow was falling, over a hundred people from Northeast Ohio showed up and drank beer from the area’s best local craft breweries.

BrewMadness 2016
BrewMadness 2016

The band “Celtic Rush” was great, the Final Four match ups were exciting, the home-brew competition was informal but fun, and we raffled off some great prizes. All in all it was a great evening, and both charities featured at the event- Nicki’s Gift Foundation and Brilliant Minds Unleashed  benefited from the thirsts for craft beer from all the attendees.

Special thanks to Bob Hernandez from Aqueduct Brewery and all the volunteers.

Brewery News

The Barley Grail also welcomed 5 new member-owners into the cooperative after BrewMadness, bringing us that much closer to launching and owning our own brewery! We have more fun events planned so be sure to check back often!

American Monks in Italy Bring Beer to US

Another example of how a group of monks are supporting their whole monastery through brewing beer.

The Monastery of St. Benedict of Norcia in Italy has become so successful, that their beer will soon be for sale in the United States.

The connection to Barley Grail? Instead of using the proceeds to restore and support a monastery, BG will use the proceeds to fund the charitable missions of its members.
